Carlos Rodriguez
Carlos Rodriguez is a talented designer and architect, known for his exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. After studying architecture at Pratt Institute in New York, he began his career as an architectural designer. It was there that he discovered that design is merely a duality between a conceptual interpretation and an architectural intervention. It is only through the understanding of space that great design can be accomplished.
Carlos later moved to Miami, where he worked for Coastal Construction before being recruited to join the Faena Group as a designer for Faena Miami Beach. In 2016, Rodriguez established Modplay Studio, a boutique interior design firm that quickly became a leader in the industry, taking on both commercial and residential projects in Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Coral Gables, Golden Beach, Argentina, Dominican Republic, New York and Aspen.
Rodriguez's unique background in both architecture and interior design results in a perfect balance between function and beauty, abstraction and reality, and playfulness and form. Most recently, he led the design of Queen Miami Beach, an ultra-exclusive, luxury dining experience that breathes new life into Washington Avenue's historic Paris Theater building.
In 2023, Carlos founded Escala Forma, an international interior design studio known for its exceptional attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to create spaces that are both functional and beautiful.
